Isebe

The first dwarf to set foot on the stones of Caer Utum started a war, and the Rune Songs all tell how well that turned out. Any dwarf worth his beard would do well to stay as far away from that curs├ęd place as possible

A Tour Of Isebe (one year after the War Of The Pretender, as told by Frave)

“Well, if you’re like me, nothing get’s the old bean working as much as a nice brisk walk. And you’ll be walking several verst west if you’re walking from the nearest real city to get to Isebe. Most of the villages in between are gone, no thanks to The Prince, so no stops along the way for a hot ladlefull of Garbrue to warm your bones. Around the time the blisters on your blisters begin to get blisters, you’ll see the outlying farms that feed the city. A road runs through the center, right up to the gate, and you best be sticking to the road, as the new farmers aren’t too discriminant about where their scythes slice.”
